Carlos Machado was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At the age of four he started his path in the martial arts, learning from his relatives the popular style known as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Training tens of thousands of students and spreading the art of brazillian Jiu-Jitsu in all 50 states and across the world. Today he mentors a growing number of students, spread out all over the world. Many seek his knowledge on the mat, and in his perspective on the philosophy of Jiu-Jitsu.
