After getting degrees in anthropology, psychology, and medical science, Cameron Macauley spent almost two decades overseas working in disaster relief and international health. Subsequently he worked in public health and specialized in the treatment of psychological trauma in survivors of war-related violence. He is currently Trauma Rehabilitation Specialist at the Center for International Stabilization and Recovery at James Madison University. During his career he has worked in a refugee camp in Thailand, a besieged city in Angola, a Yanomami Indian village in Brazil, and a mission hospital in Sumatra. His first novel, CITADEL OF ICE, was the completion of a novel his father Robie Macauley had been working on at his death in 1995. THE FOREST OF REGRETS is the sequel to THE TALISMAN CHILD, the first book of THE GOLDEN CHILD TRILOGY. The third volume, THE WARRIOR DEAD will be completed in 2016. See less
