Brother John's journey began as an ecumenical Christian youth. He attended a Presbyterian Sunday school, a Methodist church, a Baptist youth fellowship and an all boys Episcopal boarding school. Brother John's journey began as an ecumenical Christian youth. He attended a Presbyterian Sunday school, a Methodist church, a Baptist youth fellowship and an all boys Episcopal boarding school. While at school, he took a course in Comparative Religion. This introductory course created a curiosity as to why, with all the numerous religions and sects, could there be only one true path to salvation, making all the other beliefs false? As an adult, John initiated his search which included reading and investigating various subjects: the origins of the universe, antiquities, civilizations and the spread of mankind, apocalypses and early pagan and religious beliefs. A common thread that stood out for John, from early man forward, was the belief in an inner divine spark, the Soul. Over a decade ago, John determined to articulate his thoughts and philosophy and began his manuscript of the soon to be published The Journey Continues, Conversations Regarding the Soul. See less
