He has been awarded the Freedom of the City of Dublin, the US Presidential Medal of Freedom, France's Legion of Honor, and an honorary British knighthood. This paperback is a revised edition of his first book, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story , released to critical acclaim in 2022. He turned those chapters into Bono: Stories of Surrender --"my quarter- man stage show" and a documentary film on Apple TV+--before returning to his day job writing songs.
