Bobby Burke
"Daddy's Little Girl," was written by Bobby Burke and Horace Gerlach in 1949. It was an instant hit, and has gone on to become a staple of wedding reception play lists, for when the bride dances with her father. This and a companion song, "Daddy's Little Boy" written by Billy Collins in 1950, have been recorded by many artists, notably by the Mills Brothers, and are considered American standards.
