Blaque Diamond was born in Charlotte, North Carolina but left when she was eleven months old and grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. She spent her childhood engrossed in books. Blaque Diamond was born in Charlotte, North Carolina but left when she was eleven months old and grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. She spent her childhood engrossed in books. Instead of playing outside with the other children, she could be found with her head buried in books. It was no surprise that she developed a love for writing. She started writing when she was eleven years old due to urging from her 5th-grade teacher who saw something in her that she didn't see in herself. She started writing poetry and children's stories which started as a hobby, but began to reflect things in her life that she was going through. The more she wrote, the more writing became like therapy to get her through the toughest years of her life. She has written off and on for the last fifteen-years since her writing journey first began, but now she is taking a more serious approach to it due to rave feedback from fans of her work. She now resides in Greensboro, North Carolina where she works full-time and writes whenever she gets the opportunity to. Her writings now consist of poetry, novellas, short-stories and now she is working on her first novel. In her spare time, Blaque Diamond enjoys shopping, traveling, volunteering, listening to music, and of course reading and writing. See less
