Bill Koch grew up in Cincinnati, graduated from La Salle High School, attended the University of Dayton and earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Cincinnati in English in 1977. Bill Koch grew up in Cincinnati, graduated from La Salle High School, attended the University of Dayton and earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Cincinnati in English in 1977. He worked as a reporter at The Community Press from 1976 to 1978, The Chillicothe Gazette in 1978, The Cincinnati Post from 1978 to 2001, and The Cincinnati Enquirer from 2002 to 2014. During that time he has covered everything from high school sports to Xavier University, UC, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cincinnati Reds and professional tennis. He was the sports columnist at The Post from 1997 to 2001. Koch is the author of three previous books: The Pride of Price Hill, The Color of Victory, and Nothing Changes.
