In the early 2000s, she participated in spoken-word poetry circles in Washington, D.C., and works in multimedia and communications projects for important causes. Some of her work history includes recording audio with native speakers for the National Foreign Language Center at the University of Maryland, serving as campaign project manager at Americans United for Separation of Church and State, as well as communications management for National Cannabis Industry Association. She has been writing poetry and a practicing Pagan from before the age of twelve, and enjoys the study of healing, alchemy, and ritual work.
