Bernd Schafer

Dr. Bernd Schafer studied Chemistry at the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. He received his PhD at the famous Max-Planck-Institute of Coal Research for his work on stereoselective cycloadditions. Bernd Schafer is currently Senior Scientist at R&D, BASF, Ludwigshafen, Germany and lecturer at the University of Heidelberg. His research interests are in the areas of natural products, catalysis and enantioselective synthesis.
