Barry Fryer, MSc, ARICS, MIMgt, FRSA worked for Sir Robert McAlpine and Sons, before moving into higher education. He was Principal Lecturer in construction management from 1985 to 1988, then became Head of Construction and later Assistant Dean at Leeds Metropolitan University.
