Barbara J. Levin, BSN, RN, ONC, is a certified orthopaedic nurse and has received recognition as a Clinical Scholar at Massachusetts General Hospital where she works in the orthopedic trauma unit. Ms. Levin is an accomplished NAON instructor who teaches review classes to nurses in preparation for the ONC (orthopaedic nurses' certification) exam. She earned the distinction of Legal Nurse Consultant Certified and served as president of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (2004-2005). In 2007, Ms. Levin received the AALNC Member of the Year award. Ms. Levin draws on a wealth of nursing experience in a myriad of clinical settings. She has published and lectured to nurses nationwide about patient safety, orthopaedics, and documentation practices. In her role as a legal nurse consultant, she educates at court mediations and has been an appreciated asset during these appearances.
