Awadhesh Coomar Sinha

Awadhesh Coomar Sinha, an anthropologist and soci¬ologist by training, started his teaching and research career at Gujarat Vidyapeeth, Ahmedabad, from where he moved on to the IIT Kanpur, and then to IIT Delhi, before finally joining North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, where he taught sociology for about three decades, and was Dean of the School of Social Sciences.
