Ashok Mohanty

Ashok K. Mohanty (1951) has been active in the field of translating Odia short stories, novels, autobiographies, travelogues, plays and cookbooks for more than twenty years. He has translated the works of several luminaries of Odia literature such as Chandrasekhar Rath, J.P. Das, Binapani Mohanty, Bibhuti Pattanayak and Sitakant Mahapatra. Ashok K. Mohanty (1951) has been active in the field of translating Odia short stories, novels, autobiographies, travelogues, plays and cookbooks for more than twenty years. He has translated the works of several luminaries of Odia literature such as Chandrasekhar Rath, J.P. Das, Binapani Mohanty, Bibhuti Pattanayak and Sitakant Mahapatra. Three of his short story collections translated into English have been published by Central Sahitya Akademi and one by the National Book Trust. He retired as a Professor of Business Administration from Berhampur University in 2011 and lives in Bhubaneswar. See less
