Arthur Stupka
Arthur Stupka (1905-1999) was the first naturalist in the National Park Service in the eastern United States. In 1935, he became the park naturalist for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park shortly after it's incorporation to the National Park Service. He served in that role for almost 29 years and authored numerous books and the flora and fauna of the park.
