Anthony Avillo

Anthony Avillo, a 28-year veteran of the fire service, is a deputy chief in the North Hudson (NJ) Regional Fire & Rescue Department, assigned as 1st Platoon regional tour commander. The author of Fireground Strategies, 2nd edition (2008) and Fireground Strategies Workbook (2002, 2010), he is also a contributing author to Fire Engineering's Handbook for Firefighter I and Firefighter II (2009), coauthor of its Study Guide (2010) and collaborates on the Tactical Perspectives DVD series (2011), all published by Fire Engineering.
