Anne Cowell

Anne Cowell was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa, then moved to South Africa with her husband shortly after they were married. In 2002, with their two children, the family emigrated to New Zealand. With a particular passion for dogs and horses, and an abiding love of nature, Anne began her writing career with children's picture books about animals, which she both wrote and illustrated. She now juggles her time between freelance accounting work, writing, and painting animal portraits.
