Ann Roemer
Ann Roemer teaches international students in the Intensive English Language Institute at Utah State University. She is involved in teacher training in the International Teaching Assistant workshop and often supervises graduate TAs from the Master's in Second-Language Teaching program. Ann Roemer teaches international students in the Intensive English Language Institute at Utah State University. She is involved in teacher training in the International Teaching Assistant workshop and often supervises graduate TAs from the Master's in Second-Language Teaching program. In addition, she has conducted teacher-training workshops in Bangkok, Thailand, and Miami, Florida. Ann moved to northern Utah from Florida, where she taught academic ESL at Miami-Dade Community College, and workplace ESL for a department store, a plastics factory, and a yacht company. Before that, she taught EFL in Barcelona, Spain. She received her Master's degree in Teaching ESL and Spanish at the School for International Training, Brattleboro, Vermont, and her Bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has taught elementary, secondary, and adult students in Vermont, Wisconsin, and Puerto Rico. When she is not working or preparing a presentation for local, regional, or international TESOL conferences, Ann likes to travel. She has spent time in North, Central, and South America, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. See less
