Andy Silvers (Harvey Alter) is an author, filmmaker, and YouTuber who was born in Luga, Russia. In 2021, he released an original short film entitled "Snapshot" that tackles oft-ignored themes of adoption and disability. As a person with a missing left arm, these ideas were close to his heart. This film won a newly-invented award in the Mozi Motion Int. Film Festival called "Accessibility." Starting in 2020, Andy began writing novels starting with Red Sprites and Blue Jets, a coming-of-age story for ages 8-12. Following this was a children's picture book called The Very Colorful Caterpillar inspired by the Eric Carle book. While wrapping up film school, he devised his first novella called Solomon Grando vs the Jupiter Witch; this book follows a vampire who must save the world during an epidemic outbreak while battling his greatest fear-witches. Hoop Drama represents his biggest undertaking being his first adult novel. See less
