Andrew Lang
Andrew Lang FBA (31 March 1844 - 20 July 1912) was a Scottish poet, writer, literary critic, and anthropologist. He is primarily known for amassing folk and fairy stories. Andrew Lang lectures are named after him at the University of St Andrews. Lang was born in Selkirk, Scottish Borders, in 1844. On April 17, 1875, he married Leonora Blanche Alleyne, the youngest daughter of Clifton and Barbados businessman C. T. Alleyne.
