Andrei Kushnir's landscape paintings reflect his love of the outdoors, particularly those unspoiled places still found near his home in Brookmont, Maryland, close to the Potomac River and C&O Canal. Andrei Kushnir's landscape paintings reflect his love of the outdoors, particularly those unspoiled places still found near his home in Brookmont, Maryland, close to the Potomac River and C&O Canal. Known as a"New Naturalist," Kushnir has exhibited his plein air oil paintings in more than 50 juried shows in galleries and museums throughout the United States, including the National Gallery of Art and the National Museum of American Art. He is an Official Coast Guard Artist, and a member of The National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society. The Washington Society of Landscape Painters, and The Blue Ridge Arts Council. His work is in the public collections of the U.S. Coast Guard, the District of Columbia Commission on Arts and Humanities, and The University Club, Washington, D.C., as well as in numerous private collections around the world.
