Ana Isabel Ribeiro (MPH, PhD) is an epidemiologist and health geographer. Ana Isabel Ribeiro (MPH, PhD) is an epidemiologist and health geographer. She is a Researcher at the Public Health Institute of the University of Porto and Principal Investigator of two projects about neighbourhoods and health. Ana is the leader/founder of the Research Lab 'Health and Territory', a research group of the IRT - Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health. She is particularly interested in understanding how the social (e.g., deprivation) and biogeophysical context (e.g., pollution, green space) where individuals live influence their health and well-being and in emerging health risks such as climate change and environmental degradation. At the same time, she is an Invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine (University of Porto), teaching Epidemiology, Demography and Geographic Information Systems.
