Amy Abrams is an award-winning author, widely-read journalist, former publishing executive at national magazines (including Art & Antiques), literary journal editor, art critic and multimedia communications creator. With over 200 stories published, both fiction and non-fiction, she contributed to The Wall Street Journal, Art in America, and Village Voice Media. While most of her stories focus on art, she publishes articles about travel, spirituality, food, famous personalities, and music. Recently relocated from New York City to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, she released two books in 2013: Schenck in the 21st Century: The Myth of the Hero and the Truth of America, winning the 2013 US Literary Award for Fine Arts, and a debut novel, The Cage and The Key--a spiritual sojourn. She has appeared on TV and radio programs including NPR and SiriusXM, as well as lectured about publishing, art and the media to university, museum, and writing conferences audiences across America. Previously, as Associate Publisher of Museum & Arts Washington magazine in Washington, DC, she increased advertising revenue by 35% in her first year.
