Amir Al-Dabbagh

Amir Al-Dabbagh graduated from medical college in Erbil, Iraq in 1970. He worked in the UK between 1976 to 1980 before returning to Erbil where he worked as a consultant surgeon from 1980 to the end of 1993 during the periods of the Iraq-Iran war and the First Gulf War. After fleeing Iraq in 1993 he worked in Canada before returning to work in the UK in 1995 where, after an extensive period of retraining he became a consultant general surgeon in 2000.
