Amanda Root

Amanda Root is an English stage, screen, and voice actor. In 2009 her performance in The Norman Conquests earned her a Tony nomination for Best Performance for a Featured Actress in a Play. She also played the voice of Sophie in The BFG , held the starring role in the 1995 BBC film adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion , and played Miranda in the British television comedy All About Me .
