Allie Hardwick is 86 years old now, but she wrote this story after it happened in 1970. She is a PK and a native Texan but has not lived there since 1953. She graduated from SMU in Dallas, Texas, in 1959 with a degree in fine arts. She went on to do graduate work in Art of the Church at Drew University in New Jersey.
