Alison Jean Lester is the author of the novels Lillian on Life, Yuki Means Happiness, and Glide; the short story collection Locked Out: Stories Far from Home; and the memoir Absolutely Delicious: A Chronicle of Extraordinary Dying. She spent her early life in the US and the UK, and pursued her higher education in the US, China and Italy.
