Alexandra Lehmann
Author and historian Alexandra Lehmann works as a U.S. representative of the University of Munich's White Rose Foundation. She was nominated by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) as 2017 "Author of the Year." (Winner announced in April). After receiving her Masters of Fine Art from Sarah Lawrence College, and fluent in German, Alexandra began archival research in Munich for "With You There Is Light." She won a fellowship to the Wesleyan Writers' Conference and has guest lectured on German Resistance history at Shames Jewish Community Center (JCC on the Hudson), St. Paul's German Church in New York City, New Brunswick Theological Seminary, Mt. Holyoke/ Sarah Lawrence Colleges, Fairfield/Western Connecticut State Universities, and in libraries and bookstores across New York and Connecticut. The Holocaust Remembrance Center/Yad Vashem in Jerusalem requested a copy of her graduate thesis comparing Anne Frank and Sophie Scholl for their research library.
