Alex Woolf studied history at the University of Essex. An award-winning author, he has written more than 30 books on a variety of topics, including the Romans, the Vikings, the Middle Ages, the Great Depression, Nazi Germany, the Battle of Britain and the Arab-Israeli conflict.
