Alan E. Willner received a PhD from Columbia University, as well as a BA and an Honorary Degree from Yeshiva University. He worked at AT&T Bell Labs and Bellcore, and is currently the Steven & Kathryn Sample Chair in Engineering at the University of Southern California.
