Al Carder
Dr. Al Carder studied at the University of British Columbia, McGill University and the University of Wisconsin. He received the Canada Centennial Medal for his contribution to Canadian agriculture. When he retired in 1970 he began his search for the giant and ancient trees of the world. This is his second book on the subject, following Forest Giants of the World, Past and Present . He lives in Victoria, BC.
