John Camm "Professor of Clinical Cardiology, St George's Hospital, London, UK"" Professor Camm graduated from Guy's Hospital, London and went on to pursue his career in cardiology at St Bartholomew's Hospital and then St George's Hospital, London where he is currently Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences and the Division of Cardiological Sciences. He is also Convenor of Medicine, University of London, Trustee of the International Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology and President of the Arrhythmia Alliance. Professor Camm is recognised at internationally for his excellent research and teaching, his particular interests being cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac arrhythmias and implantable devices for rhythm control. Thomas F. Luscher "Professor and Head of Cardiology, University Hospital, Zurich, Switzerland" Professor Luscher studied at the University of Zurich and trained at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He was Professor of Pharmacotherapy at the University of Basel then Professor of Cardiology at the University of Berne before assuming his current position as Chairman of Cardiology at the University Hospital Zurich. He is also Head of Cardiovascular Research of the Institute of Physiology at the University of Zurich and is responsible for the entire Cardiology Service at the University Hospital. He has authored or co-authored over 400 original research articles and review articles, and is Associate Editor Europe of Circulation as well as serving on other editorial boards. Professor Luscher's research interests focus on the role of endothelium-derived mediators in theregulation of vascular tone, platelet-vessel wall interaction, and coagulation as well as vascular structure in aging, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and atherosclerosis. Patrick W. Serruys "Professor of Interventional Cardiology and Head of Interventional Department, Erasmus MC University Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands" Dr Serruys is Professor of Interventional Cardiology and Head of Interventional Department at Erasmus MC University Medical Center, Rotterdam and directs the Interventional Department there. His primary research interests are coronary artery disease and interventional cardiology, for which he has received numerous awards. He is also a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology, and a member of the Scientific Council of the International College of Angiology. He is Associate Editor of Circulation and serves on the editorial boards of several other journals. Dr Serruys has published more than 1300 papers and co-edited 31 books. See less
