Purchase Satisfaction Guarantee & Returns Policy

Alibris guarantees the condition of every item as it is described on our Web site. If you are not satisfied that your purchased item is as described, please proceed as explained below. If you have changed your mind or ordered the item by mistake, you may need to contact the seller for approval first.

If you return a purchased item more than 60 days after its shipment date, the item will be discarded and you will not be eligible to receive a refund.

How to submit returns

Returning a purchase from Alibris is easy. If you need to return a purchase, simply follow these instructions:

Step 1 - Visit the Order History in Your Account and click the order number link for the item you will be returning.

Step 2 - From the Order Detail page, click the Return This Item link.

Step 3 - Complete the return form* in detail and click the Submit button.

Step 4 - Print the authorization page** and return label.

Please rewrap the item in its original packaging, along with the authorization page**, and ship it using the mailing label provided. Once we have received and processed the returned item, Alibris will notify you of your refund via e-mail. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for your purchase, two to three weeks after we receive your return.

*Not all Alibris sellers have elected to accept returns when they are not at fault. When you select "Changed My Mind Or Ordered By Mistake" you may be required to contact the seller for approval of the return before it can be authorized.

**The return authorization page must be included with your return. Items returned without the return authorization page will be discarded without refund. For items valued over $100, the use of delivery Confirmation or other tracking is strongly recommended.
