Der Leberglykogentest z. B. ist zwar sehr empfindlich und charakteristisch, jedoch kann eine Verarmung der Leber an Glykogen auch durch andere Wirkstoffe hervorgerufen werden. Der Metamorphosetest ist aber auch umgekehrt der am meisten spezifische auf antitkyreoidal wirkende Substanzen. Kann eine Substanz entscheidend die Meta- morphose verz???gern oder gar v???llig hemmen, so kann das nur auf ihrer anti- thyreoidalen Wirkung beruhen. Diese kann allerdings auf verschiedene Weise zustande kommen.
