Holley has written a full page inscription to Mayor M W Tift of Albany georgia where Holley lived and taught. A warm inscription "to M W Tift who as Mayor of Albany....was one of the best friends and helpers of the Negroes in Southwest Georgia. He may be said to have rendered more service to me in building a college for my people than any other one person for which I am grateful" The mayor has pasted the dust jacket to the preliminary pages. Scarce thus.
