This is a superb book covering every possible aspect of the life and times and works of Glenn Gould - nothing is left out. Fascinating for all Gould admirer's and a wonderful introduction to new comers in respect of Gould. Superbly researched and historically in my opinion the most correct of books available on Gould this will not disappoint. Bazanna is neither too critical of some of the aspects of Gould's life that may cause concern - nor too sympathetic, but offers throughout a balanced, respectful and truthfully researched context about the life of this "overwhelming artist, this very great man". ( Karl Ancerl) In all the books I have read about Gould this is the definitive I keep returning to.
