Closure
This is the third and final book in the Timber Ridge series, set in Colorado in the 1800's. Reading it was like visiting old friends, as I liked the characters in the first two books.
In this one, Rachel Boyd, a widow with two sons, assists the local doctor with some procedures. She loves the work but is cautious around him, as she doesn't want to give her heart away and risk getting hurt again.
She also struggles with forgiving a friend for the death of her husband, although her blame is misplaced and stems from her own guilt; something I didn't learn in the first two books.
It's got some sad parts, when an old friend dies, but it's done well and this book closes out the series in a satisfying manner.
