Winter in America
Back when the album first came out, LP, of course, I found it to be the most interesting, poetic, jazzy, type presentation. Gil-Scott often used gravelie, street, talk, and rhymes. It would capture your attention even if you were concentrating on something else. It would more or less "Bogart" its way in to your concentration. It would keep you amazed and it held your attention until it was over. The whole album is deep, telling story after story, thought provoking and easy to identify with.
