Sample the Allegro con fuoco finale, where Kim's ability to interact with an orchestra, here the highly sympathetic Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra under Jacek Kaspszyk, is also above average. There is nothing wrong with her performance of the Shostakovich Violin Concerto No. 1 in A minor, Op. 77, but that is a work of repressed emotional complexity even by Shostakovich standards, and it will be interesting to hear Kim return to it in a decade or two.
