The books in this series safisfy a number of requirements for the PSHE framework at Key Stage 1, for example they help readers recognize the differences between right and wrong, to improve their health and well-being, and to learn how their behaviour affects others. They are designed for parents and teachers to use with children. They can be used as a basis for conversation, and they incorporate a guessing game aspect which should encourage children to want to read on. Children can use the language of the text to write simple stories linked to personal experience - making the books useful for Literacy Hour. Notes for parents and teachers at the back suggest activities based on the topic, and links to the revised curriculum.
