""Why is there a Cross" is a wonderful book for any Christian family. If you are looking for books to help explain difficult concepts in an easy to read way then this series of books by Kathleen Long Bostrom are exactly what you are looking for. They give the information needed without going into details that are not needed. The books are geared for 0 to 5 years old, but if you used the bible references section in the back as a bible study then you could use them for even older kids. The illustrations are adorable. The text is written in a sing song poetic fashion that makes them easy and fun to read and soothing to listen to. The first "section" is questions, the second section is answers to those questions and the third section is where the author found her answers in a bible (so you can feel comfortable that she didn't make them up). My 5 and 2 year olds love them and they have been invaluable in answering all those difficult questions about church. I buy these as gifts for everyone and they all love them too."
