Was a Murtle Lecture, delivered in Aberdeen University. The second, The Master Teacher, was an address given at a Convention of the Scottish National Sabbath School Union held in Dundee. The next two - ou the Atonement - appeared in Tim Expository Times. The Sixth, on The Mind of the Master on Immortality, was prepared as an inaugural lecture for one winter's course Of the Aberdeen School Of Study and Training for Christian Workers. The seventh, on The Authority of Scripture, was a paper read before the Christian Unity Association of Scotland. And the last was the inaugural lecture delivered on assuming the duties Of the Chair of New Testament Language and Literature in the Aberdeen United Free Church College. Though thus widely separate in purpose and occasion, they embody thoughts on some leading topics of New Testament Theology, and may be found to have a certain unity of outlook. They are here collected in this more permanent form, at the request Of friends, in the hope that they may be of some serv1ce.
