Private grief, career setbacks and severe physical disability have all taken their toll, and yet his faith in his goal and his own personal beliefs have sustained him. Mikie Heaton-Ellis was formerly the trainer for Sheik Mohammed Fhelk and his horse Tirol won the English 2000 Guineas and the Irish 2000 Guineas in 1990.
