A new angle on sci-fi
A science fiction book set in an Arab world. I've read many sci-fi books and this is one of the best. It's Islam cyber-punk and a ripping read with a story that flows brilliantly. And it has as a bonus that it really opened up a whole new world for me. Well, several of them. Both it's own dark, gritty underworld, and the world of Arab and Islam culture, without being overbearing about it. The author draws you completely into his world and while there is a lot of depth to the story and all of the characters, which is continued very well in the rest of the trilogy, it's a very easy read and very quick to get into. I can highly recommend this book to anyone remotely interested in the science fiction genre, and even those outside it.
