Both Morton and the GSS Mass Choir are internationally renowned for their musical abilities. The GSS Mass Choir have been awarded the coveted Stellar Award for best contemporary gospel choir in the nation. Morton has a singular power to get the message over, which has earned him the esteem of an international audience. He possesses a beautiful voice, but it is more than that; he will tell you that it is the power of the Holy Ghost working through him that deserves the praise. That compelling quality can be heard on the tune "Your Tears," one of the great pastor's most popular hits. When he sings that "God is going to wipe all of your tears away," you cannot help but believe him: he has the conviction of a true believer. Morton's interpretation of the freedom song "We Shall Overcome" exemplifies his unique style, which combines heartfelt singing across multiple octaves and ministerial exhortations.
