James McCommons provides an excellent synopsis of our national ability or inability to address an effective passenger rail system. He also provides context and story background for the book by describing the experience ot riding the various train systems around the country. The book was recommended to me by an executive of a commuter rail agency, and I would pass along the recommendation to all who would listen.
