This is a collection of quotations from several Banner of Truth Trust books by many noted, and excellent Puritan divines. It's a good way to get to know some of their thoughts on several subjects. The Puritans were all about "The Devoted Life". They can be trusted to bring out deep, but also practical wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. To be fair, not all the works sited are from The Banner of Truth publisher, but they are excellent works, just the same. I would call this book solid gold, and the people I know would know what to expect from such a description. I recommend this book to anyone who is familiar, or new to the writings of the Puritans.
