While attending a showing of Captain Blue's latest picture with Joe, Silvia was suddenly sucked into the film and abducted by a fierce celluloid monster. Naturally, Joe followed Silvia via the same route, whereupon he met Captain Blue face to face. On the verge of retirement, the Captain bestowed his awesome powers on Joe, who, transformed into "Viewtiful Joe", carried on the battle against the baddies of Movie Land, notably the dreaded Jadows.
