On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the court's establishment, this book provides an insight into 127 landmark decisions of the court, their historical background and their importance for the development of the German constitutional system. German description: Der asechzigste Geburtstag, den das Bundesverfassungsgericht im Jahre 2011 beging, wird zum Anlass genommen, seine in nun 127 Entscheidungsbanden dokumentierte Rechtsprechung einer retrospektiven Rezension zu unterziehen. Besprochen werden dogmatisch wegweisende, apolitisch grosse und auch exemplarisch bedeutsame Entscheidungen zum Verfassungsrecht quer durch die Zeit seit Grundung des Gerichts im Jahre 1951.
