A very odd third Doctor adventure. The Doctor and Jo are very well written, but the steps taken to keep the UNIT men out of the action feels a bit forced. Iris and Tom are fun characters, but whenever they show up they tend to overshadow the Doctor, so it can feel like more of an effort to try her out for her own series ( which I believe she gets down the road) then having her working with the Doctor. Same thing happens with Benny in some of the New Doctor Who Adventures books. I had my doubts about this when the killer sheep show up, but dispite it's very surreal middle section, the payoff makes sense and was worth the wait.
