Choices
This was the second book in the Alaskan Quest series. It follows the character Helaina Beecham who was introduced in the first book. She came to Alaska as a bounty hunter. In this book she has left Alaska to find that her home and oppulent lifestyle she left in New York no longer satisfies. She sells it all to return to Alaska to see if Jacob Barringer, the man she's fallen in love with, loves her as well. She returns to find he is lost in the Arctic, his ship iced in over the winter, with no way of knowing if he is still alive.
It also has action since Leah and Helaina were kidnapped by Chase.
I found the cover picture deceiving since she seemed to be much older than it depicts. But I liked the story and the change in her character.
